Apple/Mac: Do you service these?
At this time, Tech This, LLC is not certified to handle hardware or warranty repairs on Apple products. We can assist you with any software/operating system issues you may be having.
How long does it take to replace a laptop screen?
Most replacements are completed within 1-2 business days, depending on part availability and transit times.
Do you use original parts?
We source OEM or high-quality compatible aftermarket screens to ensure durability and performance. If aftermarket is being used, you'll be notified. It is worth noting aftermarket is often considerably more affordable.
Is there a warranty?
Yes! Our repairs include a 30-day labor warranty. Parts warranty varies by manufacturer, but is often between 90 and 365 days. There are no refunds on labor as labor is a fee-for-time service.
My computer is very old, can you help me?
We'll certainly give it our best! It is important to note that repairing an older computer can sometimes become more costly than replacing it all together as hardware upgrades may be needed in order to achieve the desired result.
How long does the diagnostic process take?
It can potentially take a couple of hours or more depending on the issues being experienced. We charge one flat diagnostic fee, and if it takes longer you are not incurring additional charges.
What if I decide not to fix my computer?
There are no additional costs besides the diagnostics charge. You'll still be presented with what is needed. It is recommended to complete the repairs promptly to avoid any potential further damage.
If the computer is determined to be not fixable, we can assist with secure recycling (free of charge), transferring of data to an external device, a cloud service, or replacement computer, building a new PC or simply giving you your device back to do with as you choose.
Do you ever complete repairs without my approval?
Absolutely not. The diagnostic service stops with the presentation of what is needed and we will not proceed any further without your approval to do so.
